# Developer Tools & Web Terminal

> Run flows and suites, list your workspace and read execution logs from the built-in terminal, docked or in its own window.

The **Developer Tools** panel at the bottom of the designer has three tabs: **Console** (live logs with Info, Warning and Error filters), **Terminal** and **Output**.

The terminal gives you the same commands as the [Headless CLI](https://docs.quixa.io/cli/headless-runner.md), without leaving the browser. Nothing to install and no API key to configure: it runs as you.

***

## 1. Docked or Detached

* **Docked**: click **Developer Tools** at the bottom of the screen. Drag the top edge to resize it.
* **Detached**: click the open-in-new icon in the panel header to move the tools into a separate browser window, handy on a second monitor. Use **Re-dock to Main App** to bring it back.

Both views run the same commands with the same output.

> [!NOTE]
>
> When the terminal is docked, `quixa run` without a name runs the flow currently open on the canvas. A detached window has no canvas, so give it a flow name or ID.

## 2. Command Reference

The leading `quixa` is optional, and names with spaces can be quoted.

| Command | What it does |
| :- | :- |
| `quixa ls`  /  `quixa list flows`  /  `flows` | List all flows with ID, name and folder |
| `quixa list suites`  /  `suites` | List all flow suites with mode, flow count and last run |
| `quixa run "<flow name or id>"` | Run a flow and print each step with its status code |
| `quixa run suite "<suite name or id>"` | Run a whole suite and print per-flow results and totals |
| `quixa logs <execution id>` | Show the status and step count of an execution |
| `quixa status` | Show platform and runner status |
| `help` | Show the command reference |
| `clear` | Clear the screen |

Use the **up and down arrows** to move through your command history.

### Example

```bash theme={null}
quixa list flows
quixa run "Create, Wait, and Fetch Pet"
quixa run suite "Smoke Tests"
```

## 3. Use the Same Commands from an AI Agent

The [Quixa MCP Server](https://docs.quixa.io/plugins/quixa-mcp.md) exposes these commands to your IDE agent as the `quixa_cli_execute` tool, so an assistant can run `quixa list flows` or `quixa run "My Flow"` for you.
